Q: iTunes 10: Cannot transfer recent purchases

I have an iPad (4th Generation). I purchase music all the time on it. I recently booted up my old iBook G4, with iTunes running version 10. I've authorized my iTunes account, all of that; but I can't transfer my recent purchases. I can find my old ones, from two years ago, but nothing recent.

My account balance shows up fine, and I can view my purchase history, but it's in the form of a bill/statement, with no option to download.

I've gone into the hidden purchases, and that's where I found my old, old music; but nothing new.

Is it not compatible with iTunes 10? I feel like I've pressed every button there is to try and find my music. It's not in "Available for Download", oddly only four of my iPad apps are (iMovie, Pages, Garageband, and Keynote).

Any suggestions---or is it a lost cause? I realize I can't sync my iPhone/iPad with it, since they're both running iOS 7, but I'd still like the music I've purchased on my account to show up.

Thanks!

iBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

You should be able to redownload music in Canada (as long as it's still in the store) via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page :

The 'check for available downloads' will only find new purchases that haen't yet been downloaded (e.g. pre-orders), and if you had 'automatic downloads' turned 'on' on your Mac when you purchased items on your iPad.
