How to change the transition time for a title in the new imovie

Click your title->adjust button at the top right of the window, underneath click info, a new line with some settings will appear, there you can set the duration,

I have been digging to this a bit more, I discovered that all titles have a default fade in and out. In the past you could adjust that. Now you can't. So when you shorten a title in a way that it can't apply the default fade-in or out, you will see a kind of blinking being the result (I guess) from the missing time to produce the fade-out or in.

So I'am afraid at this point of time there is no direct solution.

I try and try again...i got your same problem and i can't believe we have no choice to put or not the fade !!! Incredible !!!

I am having the same issue. The Photo Album title used to flow smoothly into the full screen picture. Now it just flies open to the full screen photo no matter how long you make the transition. Complete garbage. Apple please go back to the previous code!!

After spending a couple of years of deciding wether to continue with windows or to go over to Apple I finally went for the Apple.

I bought an expensive iMac 27 MEO9 CTO. but so far my expectations have been disapointed.

I,m still a novice in the Apple-world but one cannot help getting frustrated over such minor and unecessary problems as the one described with the transitions duration in iMovie. Is this what I paid a small fortune for ? Come on Apple? Please!

Please take a look at the usage of the precision editor it's very powerfull as are a lot of functions in iMovie10.

Where can I find my default settings? I,d like to change the default duration of my transitions and still-frames.

Mark your project in the browser-window by clicking once (It must have a yellow frame around it). Above the viewer you will find "settings". Click that and you will have several options for your project settings, including stills and transitions.
