Q: I have purchased a couple of songs on my iphone but they are not showing up in my itunes library

Check in iTunes Preferences to see if it showing all purchases within iTunes. Or go to the iTunes Store and click on purchases to see them and the click on the cloud icons to download them. Also check to make sure that automatic downloads are enabled.
