I tried downloading iTunes on my laptop running windows 7 but when i run iTunes installer on the last step it stops and says-
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.....i also tried restoring default Windows firewall but it does not work please help me!!

This is a Windows issue and has nothing to do with the iPad itself. you will need to check the Microsoft forums.
i had the same problem. i found a simple solution - whatever browser you're using - stop.
1) download safari (for windows)
2) go to itunes website and download itunes from there
(every other browser errors for one reason or another, and i have them all, when you download through safari, it doesnt error it seems)
