I recently had to re-install FCP 7.0.3 due to a hard drive crash. After installing, all relevant updates were performed. Sony Log & Transfer plugin v 1.2 was installed. In the Log & Transfer window, I can hear the audio for all of the clips, but the picture is black. I have confirmed that the clips are good via Sony's XDCAM Browser, but I need to work with the clips in Final Cut. Please help!

First thing I would try is trashing your FCP preferences using this

Also it wouldn't hurt to repair permissions in disc utility and restart.

Thanks very much for replying. I tried trashing the FCP preferences with the tool you suggested (very handy, that), followed by a Disk Permisions Repair and restart...no luck. I think something is broken with the XDCAM EX Log and Transfer Plugin and the Pro App software updates but figuring that out is above my pay grade. Any thoughts on how I might approach trouble shooting this?
