Q: Can you force a password change via webmail
Hello
I'm trying to implement a password policy to our users. As new users / terminals are added they're set up as network users and i can set their user in workgroup manager to require a password change at next login and set time between password changes and the like. All good
However, older users are still using local logins and along with that we have off site users that only use email. The on site users i can just go and find and get them to change their password, but for the others i'd like to be able to force them to change their password just like you can for network users.
I know about the change password link on the default lion website, however, if you select the 'require password change' box in workgroup manager you can no longer log in to this facility.
If there a way to get the same dialogue box telling the user to change their password from the web front end? even better would be getting a message to pop up when they try to connect their desktop email client...
Think i'm hoping too much.
Thanks
