how to delete an app if it's stuck?

Hey all!

I wanted to install an app from app store.

While downloading it got stuck as I lost the wifi connection... now the app is stuck. The icon is only grey and underneath it sais "waiting"

I cannot start the download again by "clicking" on the icon. Neither I can restart the download from app store.

Also the restart of the iPad is not helping at all.

Now I wanted to remove the grey icon / the stuck app, but no "x" is shown like on all the other apps......

Any ideas how I could remove the app???

Thx

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 7.0.3
