after updating to OS 10.9 i can't print documents from MS Office or OpenOffice, tested with different printers,
same documents i can print from Pages, TextEdit or PDF.
MS Office and OpenOffice are crashing when i choose >print to pdf<
no idea..

Im having a similar problem with my hp since the update
now it doesnt print or scan, had a brief look on the forums and someone said to try reinstalling the printer software
Has anyone fixed this printing issue? If so can they post the resolution?
I have re-installed the drivers .
I can not print from Fusion vm's (Since upgrading to Mavericks) either,.. so I think this is some kind of hidden SECURITY feature.
Are you crashing? If so, post the crash log, please.
I resolved this. I uninstalled all printers .
Reinstalled MY PRINTER DRIVERS.. this still did not work
RE- deleted all printers
Re added printers ... this time I used LDP instead of IPP . B I N G O.
IPP does not work, It did before Mavericks.
Hope this works for someone else. please post success.
Since installing mavericks all excel printed documents come out blank? How do I go about using LDP to see if this resolves my problem?
in system preferences, printers, add an IP Printer, (enter the IP )then, in PROTOCOL, select LPD.
I tried setting up the IP printer with the IP address off my Network Genie but it didn't work so I deleted all printers and added the printer I use back in and now it works
