Q: How do I "unforget" a device in bluetooth?

I made a mistake when trying to pair my pc to my ipad air via bluetooth - the ipad froze and the only way out was to "forget this device". How can I get the iPad to pair with this device - i.e. "unforget" the pc?

iPad Air Wi-Fi, Cellular, iOS 7.0.3

Apple doesn't support pairing a PC to an iPad.  Here is what the iPad will support http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647

Bluetooth on an iPad is used to connect keyboards, headphones, speakers and a few other devices.

What are you trying to accomplish by connecting the iPad to your PC by Bluetooth. Once we know that we can provide info on how to accomplish what you want.

I had this problem with my iPhone and Mazda CX-5.  I don't know if all these steps are necessary, but here's how I fixed the problem:

    1.  I told my iPhone to Reset Network Settings (Settings --> General --> Reset --> Reset Network Settings).  I suspect this step wasn't really necessary.

    2.  I turned my iPhone off by holding down the home and sleep buttons.  Once it was turned off, I turned it back on.

    3.  I returned to the car, opened the car stereo's BlueTooth settings, and told it to forget my iPhone.

    4.  Then I went through the standard (first-time) pairing process.  The Mazda reappeared in the iPhone's list of detected devices, and the pairing worked fine.

    The solution:

    Reset as above

    Then:

Press and hold the #6 key on the Bose Remote when in the Aux function to put the Bose into discoverable mode. This is for the Wave Music System III.  You will see the word "Discoverable" flash across the Bose display.

It worked for me. the "Bose Adapter" immediately registered on my bluetooth devices list for both the iPad2 and the iPhone5S.

If you already have a list of devices press and hold the #5 key on the Bose Remote in the Aux function to add the device.  Good Luck.
