newly published imovie tweaks not being reflected in garage band's movie track portion for that movie :(

I'm not sure how else to describe this problem I'm having but I'm making a movie tributed to my grandfather and I'm experiencing the problem in the name of this discussion "newly published imovie tweaks not being reflected in garage band's movie track portion for that movie 😟". If anyone could help me, I want to present it on November 20th to a critic coming to my school and would greatly appreciate any assistance! I'm an art student.

I don't know what versions I'm using, but I'm making it on a hand me down Mac. Not sure the year.
