When you click it, does it still add new filters to the search, as expected? If so then this is just a small interface bug, but I'd still send it to Apple as feedback here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
I've just encountered this. With a bit of trial and error, I discovered that the plus button doesn't show when you have the "All My Files" view open in Finder. From your screenshot that seems to be the case, at least that's what Google Translate tells me "Todos mis archivos" means.
Presumably this is because the "All My Files" view is a special view which probably has all sorts of filters built in and could interfere with any filters you add to the search.
Opening any other view, such as your hard drive, allows the plus to appear.
Thanks srollasoIs just exactly like you say!
If in finder I'm at "All My Files" (english for Todos mis archivos) I can't add filters to my search.
Topher, the button and the action isn't there, I think it has to be something like srollaso suppose
Thanks for your time!
Found a solution. Press the gear icon on the top left in finder. Then press show search criteria.
Sorry if this is too late.
Thank you Alexander-Jackson!! above tips did not work for me and yours is clearly the ever-working solution to this problem.
