Nov 13, 2013 12:43 AM in response to Mishlp74by LaPastenague,You do not download the installation.. the TC needs to be factory reset.
It will not work in the new environment without doing this.
The Factory Reset Gen1-4.
Unplug your TC. Hold in reset. and power the TC back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
Now open the airport utility on the computer.. all later OS have it preinstalled..
Under applications, utilities.
In v6 utility you can pick up the new wireless device to be configured.
Just click the other wifi devices.. which shows one new one has been found.
The Apple documentation is hopelessly out of date..
Use AirPort Utility 5.3 or later, included with the Time Capsule or available via Apple Software Updates or from Apple Support Downloads, to set up your Time Capsule.
This is all rubbish.
