Any tips to connect IMac with Memorex external DVD recorder

Has anyone connected an external memorex DVD recorder (MRX-510LE) to an IMac using firewire or USB? Trying to burn CD's for Itunes and DVDs ...
does not recognize hardware...can't find drivers......

First welcome to the discussions.
Chances are if Memorex or Google search doesn't offer Drivers than you are out of luck.
It can sometimes be frustrating because you see something that is a deal only to find out that it won't work with your other stuff.

Hi ellejay,

welcome to the discussions.

Try Patchburn - http://www.patchburn.de/ Works a treat with almost all "unsupported" burners.

You could also consider simply updating to a more recent version of Tiger, as support for additional external burners has been added in the later revisions.

i used this software patch for a memorex 16x double layer external dvd burner on my g4 cube and it worked. thanks!
