The first clue is that they are usually running android. Albeit with a skin that looks similar to iOS, but there are major differences in how it works.

because i had bad experience with my iPad mini, the device is genuine but the lightning cable&adapter was fake.
Don't buy gray market Apple products. Don't buy them from ebay, craigslist, amazon, or the guy on the corner.
LoL i knew that!, but unfortunately..back here (Indonesia) doesn't have apple flag store only authorised reseller, so i have to go to the nearest country which is Singapore. but anyway the only device i bought from the "guy on the corner" was the iPad mini :)
