Q: Mail app has frozen, how do I unlock it?
My hotmail app has frozen, under the older apple I could unlock it using a double tap on the iPad button. Now this does not seem to bring up the apps to delete. How do I do this with the new system?
iPad 2, iOS 7.0.3

Try a Reset...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

Double Tap the Home Button... Then swipe the App (not the icon) Upwards... Tap the Home Button when finished.
