It's not a virus. More likely corrupted desktop preferences.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.desktop.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
It might be some of the apps you have installed. App Cleaner, CleanMyDrive, Free memory These are all 'utilities' that encourage you to do 'cleaning' that is unnecessary. If you are not careful you remove system files with these apps.
They also have a habit of wanting to install lots of background tasks that will simply make your Mac work harder (less battery, worse performance etc).
I'd suggest you delete all the unwanted folders & reboot into 'Safe mode' (hold shift after the chime until the spinning 'cog' appears). Ensure the login window says 'safe mode'.

It will disable all third party extensions & startup items, including the background 'cleaner' tasks.
See if you can do some work without folders magically appearing.
Be aware that some features will be disabled like wifi on some models, graphics drivers will be in a reduced mode - this is normal in safe mode. Test as much as you can.
Reboot to go back to normal.
If the Mac is better in safe mode it is time to reboot and take a system report and look at the third party items.
Use EtreCheck to see what is running in a normal boot & post it here
New folder on the desktop can be achieved by right click on the desktop.
Check all of your pointer devices. I have seen this before with a track pad buried under paper work on the table.
Maybe also:
Clean the track pad.
Check mouse right click button.
Thank you kind maam, I think it worked. 🙂
Have yourself a fine day.
I dont think I have a loose right clicker. I still have the same problem.
Also look at the battery levels on the Bluetooth devices (In System Preferences).
It might make a difference if they are for the keyboard & mouse.
