My safari loads pages slow (not every page). The blue progress bar is stuck at half way. But other browsers like chrome, firefox load the same page fast. And if I turn private browsing on, the same page loads as fast as the other browsers. I have tried every solution I have searched, but still can not solve this problem. any one encountered the same situation?

same here . its a minor issue really but any time i have more than 1 tab open i get this hang, it is starting to get really annoying
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Test.
I have tried this solustion. At first, the pages load faster, but when cookies stored, they are slow again. The weird thing is that the loading speed is not always slow. I tried the same page in the morning, the loading speed is ok (but still not as fast as the other browsers), but in the evening, slow again (the other browsers are ok). I think maybe there is something wrong with my DNS, so I changed it to google's (8.8.8.8) and others, but still does not change anything.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. The question is whether Safari is still slower than other browsers.
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.
Tried the first part of the test. Safari is loading faster. Except the Facebook login page, which might have been a fluke.
What now? How can I find out which personal setting might be causing this?
Might be a cache issue ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that doesn't help, try troubleshooting Safari extensions and third party plugins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

I was having the same problem after downloading Mavericks. I remembered that there are new power saving features related to Safari. Under Preferences there is a check box to "Stop Plug-ins to Save Power" and a detail button. After clicking the detail button it listed the websites that use plug-ins and the sites listed were the ones that were not loading properly. I unchecked the the box to Stop Plug-ins and Safari appears to be working properly again.
Rom 1210's solution disable "Stop Plug-ins to Save Power" worked for me where nothing else would.
What I've tried so far:
Deleting Cache.db seems to help at first. But then it goes on wonkers again and the browser is slow again. As far as my experience is concerned, none of the above solutions work permanent which makes Safari 7.0 the slowest Safari it has ever been!
I think this is a real issue. I've cleared the cookies and pages still load noticeably slower than with Firefox (my normal browser choice). This is the *only* issue I've found with either of my two Macs with Mavericks, and it is the same with both -- vs. a specific machine issue.

Safari is useless since upgrade to Mavericks. When I fresh open Safari it load first page. As soon as I want to open another page the blue loader in url bar starts moving but stops and nothing happens.
I've already removed cache.db file, reset Safari, put computer into Safe mode, disable all extensions, etc. Nothing helps. Since moving to Mavericks I was forced to use Firefox instead.
I am not using flash neither java plugins.
Any suggestions what could be the issue?
P.S.: when I wait for page to load for about a minute or more, than page actually loads. But have to wait again for another request (page load).
I've also found out that App Store app is loading terible slow and almost never load fully...

I'm having the same problem with my new MacBook Pro 15" running Mavericks. Neither Safari, nor Firefox, nor Chrome works propery. Sites load slowly and are sometimes unresponsive. Tried changing settings with regards to extensions and plug-ins. Tried deleting cache files. Tried uninstalling flash. Nothing helps.
Sitting here on my Snow Leopard Macbook Pro running Safari and having no problems at all...
