MacBook Pro Retina EFI Update v1.3 doesn't solve the trackpad problem: it still freezes

Hi all


Congratulations Apple for churning out a piece of junk called MacBook Pro 13" Retina.


The software update does not solve the problem and it still freezes!


I bought a Macbook Pro 13" as a gift for my brother and he just skyped in reporting the incident (btw: he installed the update 2 days ago and did a restart).



The 14 days cool off period is over otherwise we would have given the junk back. He was using a 9 year old Windows laptop before that when I thought it is a good idea he starts using Mac OS X.



It seems to me this is not a software issue but a serious hardware failure.

Try resetting the PRAM and please report if the freezing trackpad happens again. Please post in the following thread:
