''Unable to connect to wifi'' issue

My wifi was working fine this morning on my ipod 4g, until all of a sudden it comes up with a message saying: 'Unable to connect to wifi'

I looked for ways to fix it and tried the resetting network settings, but that didn't work. My home hub is working fine, so I have no idea what the problem is. I also tried 'forget this network' and entering the password again. I even followed the steps on apple and none of them helped fix it. I'm really frustrated so could someone please help with some tips? I'd be really greatful.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?

Does the iOS device see the network?

Any error messages?

Do other devices now connect?

Did the iOS device connect before?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on your router

.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
