Left side

I wiped the entire screen gently with a computer screen wipe. When I turned it on, a coloumn on the left side of the screen was extremely discolored; it seemed as if they were displaying the opposite colors. Please help!

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), Mid-2012

you either sprayed the screen instead of the cloth and liquid dripped down into the monitor..

or you used too much pressure in wiping it down

monitor is very likely destroyed, contact Apple for in shop evaluation and likely monitor replacement
