Cannot get Mail The connection to the server failed
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
Try:
Got fix for can't get mail...Go to setting...click contacts ...click email account..click delete account..click add account ....reenter your email address and password. Works fine now.
I Had to uninstall my yahoo mail, set up my account again, reset my password, ( I couldn't remember my password) sign out then back in. Viola! Mail!
I have just had this prob. Couldn't get my Yahoo emails on my iPad or iPhone. Both gave msg-Cannot get mail. Connection to the server failed. I had recently changed my Yahoo password on my laptop but this also needs to be changed on phone and iPad. Go to Settings-Mail,Contacts,Calendars-click on your email account-then click on Account and update your password. Simple!!
