Thank you. I wonder when it will be? I have the new camera and would like to edit RAW photos in Aperture. Adobe has already added support.
Nobody here knows. On the bright side, Apple seems to be much quicker with raw support for cameras these days than in the past.
It does as of today with the latest update.
Woo Hoo! Thanks for letting us know!
Why is EM-1 RAW compatibility NOT installable on OS 10.7.5...! ONLY OS 10.8 and 10.9...!!
You just force people to change programs. I have no intention of wrecking up my machine installing a new OS, with all the **** breaking loose that the thing usually implies...

The upgrade from Lion to Mountain Lion brings many improvements and less radical changes than the upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion. Mt. Lion is the better Lion.
I work with my machine and get paid to delievr on time with it. I can't take chances with delays or reinstallations.
In any case every machine is fit with the System it comes with. Sometimes a newer version fits it and brings some good. Most of time it has side-issues. And you have to download a bulk of stuff... which requires time again.
I understand, why you are cautious with updates and do not want to jump on the bandwaggon, since you need to keep your equipment working. The upgrade to Mt. Lion is worth it. It makes Lion more usuable.

SInce Lion has Apple changed the raw support strategy. Raw support is now part of the operating system and no longer an update to the applications. Apple did not say why, we can only speculate - but this new strategy makes it possible to write the raw support, so that it will profit from the better support for multi kernel processors in the newer systems, so that raw developement can be computed more efficiently on the new MacPros.
