iPad Air doesn't charge when connected to Mac
I am noticing that when my new iPad Air is connected to my MacBook Pro laptop it doesn't charge when in use. Is anybody else experiencing this?
iPad Air Wi-Fi, iOS 7.0.3, 32GB

Generally, IPads don't charge well if at all connected to a computer. They're best charged plugged into the wall using their supplied charger.
Most USB ports don't out out enough power to meet the iPad's minimum requirements.

Thanks, Skydiver. It sure would be nice if Apple would ship a longer mini-USB cord with the iPad Air. It's practically impossible to use it while plug into a wall outlet. This makes absolutely NO sense to me at all. I spend $599 on a tablet and can only use it when unplugged from the wall or have to get an extension cord? Wow! *mind blown*
I bought a charging cord that's on a 6 foot cable when I bought my ipad. Generally, the battery on an iPad should last 10 hours or so (depending on what you use on it) so I can guess that the general train of thought is that use it during the day, charge it at night.
