Unable to use iTunes requests login to "protected"

When I open my itunes it locks up after giving me a popup message that says I have to login to"protected" at www.Itmaps.net. It asks for username and password and that the password will be sent in the clear, the problem is that this came after I updated

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Latest itunes just updated
