Nov 14, 2013 11:01 AM in response to mcmahangrantsby Klaus1,★HelpfulI have no idea, as my knowledge of Macs does not go back that far!
At a guess you might need a USB dongle, but I have no real idea of whether it would work on 10.2.8.
I have alerted colleagues here to your problem. Hopefully one of them is ancient old experienced enough to know the answer!

Nov 15, 2013 12:56 AM in response to mcmahangrantsby Jan Hedlund,USB Wi-Fi adapters may require Mac OS X 10.3 or higher.
Alternatively, an external wireless Ethernet bridge (also known as a gaming or media adapter) can be connected to the Ethernet port of the computer. Netgear WNCE2001 and Linksys WET610N are only two bridge examples. One advantage is that such devices (normally) do not need special drivers, meaning that an older operating system can be OK as well. The setup can usually be done via a standard web browser. Modern bridge devices are also capable of using the latest wireless security protocols.

Nov 15, 2013 10:22 PM in response to mcmahangrantsby GNN Photography,Yes you should. If the Mac has an Airport card then just connect to the hot spot. If not then I would consider the GMYL USB dongle. I use it in my G5, and successfully used it in an old G3. Worth a shot!
