Cancelling partial downloads in Launchpad?

I had just downloaded Garageband 10.0.1 from the ap store and was wanting to update the app with the latest additional loops. I realised afterwards that there was another way of doing this and I've got the other loops now, but to get back to my story, So I mistakenly hit the 'update' button for garagebend in teh app store again and it started re-downloadiing garageband 10.0.1 all over again, which I don't need. So I paused the download in the launchpad, and now I want to cancel the paused download and remove it from the launchpad. Is there a way of doing this please?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9), Garageband 10.0.1

Hi tubeswell!

Here is an article that can tell you how to cancel this Mac App Store download:

Mac App Store: Buy, download, and install apps

http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11493

To cancel a download in App Store, in the toolbar, click Purchases, find the app in the list, hold down the Option key, and then click Cancel.

Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.
