Tried to update my IPad to 7.04 and the update fails. My current IOS is at 7.02. What gives?

The latest IOS 7.04 is now ready to update on my I PAD. I clicked on the software update soft key and I receive an immediate error that it will not update. Do I need to update to IOS 7.03 first? If so, how. Do I do that now as it isn't available under the downloads site under Apple Support. Please advise.

iPad, iOS 7.0.2

No you do not need the update to iOS 7.0.2 in order to update to 7.0.4. You can only update to whatever the most current version is anyway as you already aware since you checked and saw that it isn't available from Apple.

Are you getting a specific error message? Did you try restarting your iPad and then try to update?
