My iPad is showing over 2300 messages in my inbox in my comcast account but when I go to the inbox there are no messages

My iPad is showing that I have over 2300 messages in my comcast mail box but when I go into my inbox I have 0 messages. Where are the 2300 messages and why can't I see them? I always delete messages out of my comcast account as soon as I read them,

iPad mini Wi-Fi, iOS 7.0.4

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.


Try again to see if the problem persists.


If that doesn't work, try deleting then adding the email account again.
