This new iBooks app is much less enjoyable than the original. It is so generic looking and basic that it is lesser experience. Why take away the shelf and book view while reading? I'd have thought there be added view options!

Put my entire family on the list too! It's awful. On the store as well. It's very clinical looking, it's no longer the fun, creative look the book shelves had, and even at the lowest brightness setting it's harsh on the eyes.

I agree. It seems the changes Apple has made in iOS 7 are exactly that "change for the sake of change". White background for the shelves in iBooks. Really? Slide to activate different modes in the Camera App. Really? White on yellow background, yellow on white background? And on and on.

This was removed in the iOS update. Like you, I don't care for the new look. Please send Apple feedback.

The bookshelf was still there in ios 7 until they updated it toady. Ugly...

I would like the original bookshelf back. Creates a better visual organization.

I completely agree. This shades of grey venue is aggravating. Several changes in other software I ask "WHY"? Change for change?

I like a bunch of the functional change they made, but none if the visual ones.

Great way to. Make an expensive table look like a cheap one.

Make sure to make a Copy of your apps!
