You need an external Blu-ray player (the built-in SuperDrive does not support Blu-ray) and a Blu-ray player (such as http://www.macblurayplayer.com/promotion.htm or http://www.bluray-player-software.com/ or any, really). Then you can play Blu-ray discs on your Mac.

I think you just need a drive that supports BD and another blu-ray program to make the playback possible. I used UFUWare Blu-ray Player and it runs in a very good performance, maybe you could also try it, and it even can allow you watch Blu-ray discs, Blu ray folder, BD iso, and hd videos on MacBook Pro.

I have a MacBook Pro 2010 (but any will do that are non-retina with built-in superdrive) that I installed a Panasonic UJ267 and now it has an internal bluray reader and writer.  I used a free bluray player from the app store and Toast Titanium to write.
