Mine has grown to 4.59G. I tried a restore, which I think in the past as reduced it, but now it's still there. Can someone tell me what is this and if there is any way to reduce it?

Wow. That reduced it by over 4G. Still 2.12G, but thanks very much.
Depending on a lot of factors, that might not be so high. My phone and iPad are about 2 GB other as well.
You can read tons of threads on how to reduce other if you really need to get that # down more, but keeping your Messages at bay will do it pretty easily.
