Power Mac G5 hardware support

I recently acquired a Power Mac G5 from late 2005, also known as the "cypher" model. I was told it doesn't work (I was not told what the issue is), but I have yet to test it. I would like a list of compatible hardware (because I have no idea what to look for) that will help me maximize the performance from this fine piece of technology. I would also like a cost efficient list so I can pick and choose what I want/need for the components that need replacing (if any need replacing). Any and all help is appreciated.

Hello, there isn't much available outside of used parts, which are drying up & sometimes quite expensive.

It would help if we knew if it even tries to power up.

Three of things to start you off...

Might be time to replace the PRAM Battery, 4 years is close to their lifespan, far less if ever without AC power, & can cause strange startup problems...

So I've found out found out a lot about my G5 in the past few days and I would like to thank you for the link to the video cards. This computer will work if I can get a hard drive for it (waiting for my father to let me borrow one). But there is one more thing I would like to know that I haven't been able to find, do these support more than one video card (nVidia SLI)?
