i had copy the mac os 9 os from my bondi blue imac to my dark blue imac classic didn't find the folder but start up disk did i had clicked it hit reboot and got the flashing question mark folder i can't boot into mac os x again HELP ME

check out this link http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1310 it tell you how to choose your start up drive. then once you chose mac OS x and boot up, you can go into system preferences then start up disk and chose mac OS x.

If Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 are on the same partition, I seem to recall that you can switch by pressing X during startup to use Mac OS X (pressing 9 during startup to use Mac OS 9).

did you delete somthing the pic shows no start up disk at all
didn't touch it!
the only thing I can think of is if you have a mac OS x disk and try to boot into that and fix from there. besides that I am sorry I cant think of anything else

before i hand reset it said mac os insted of mac os 9.2.2 and the folder icon was a nine
I am saying if you have a disk you can boot strait from the disk then you can try to fix it from there

i have mac os 9.0.4 install disk/boot disk but the mac firmware can't find it is ther a way to make it to boot from it

You will have to torrent it which is a whole other thing. I would just try to borrow it from someone. Also when you do get a disk click go disk utility then you should know the rest

i have conected a firewire 400 to 800 cable. I then conected the cables to may imac and mac mini. I booted my imac into firewire disk mode the disk showed itself on the mac mini. it must be the system folder?
FireWire target disk mode allows a Macintosh computer with a FireWire port (the target computer) to be used as an external hard disk connected to another computer (the host). Once a target computer is started up as a FireWire hard disk and is available to the host computer, you can copy files to or from that volume.
