Micro sdcard can't be formatted (Sandisk 64GB class 10)

I was trying to copy videos onto my micro sdcard, then i ended up with error code -36. Eversince then I haven't been able to copy any files onto it or format it, there's an incomple file on it that I can't delete either. I thought a simple format wouldve fixed it but it didn't and when I do try to format it it always gets to halfway in disk utility (formatting to ExFat & FAT32) and then come up with an error saying "failed to unmount sdcard". I've tried to remove the file using the "sudo rm" command in terminal but it seems to have no effect. Even if I delete another file on the micro sdcard, when I eject and remount the card everything comes back. I haven't found anything on this problem. (and the adapter isn't set to lock)

Thanks for the suggestions! I've tried to format the card in one of my cannon cameras, sadly it doesnt take the ExFat fromat (it couldn't pick up the card) 😟 I've also tried to wipe the contents of the card as well off my Xperia Z, it goes through with it and says the card is wiped but the files are still there when I remount it. It's weird because it never used to do this for the first 5 months I had it it :/
