How do I get back to Set Up Assistant for my new Macbook Pro so I can have it pull my files from my PC? I skipped that part during the set up but now I want to go back to it

How do I get back to Set Up Assistant for my new Macbook Pro so I can have it pull my files from my PC? I skipped that part during the set up but now I want to go back to it.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Instead of using Setup Assistant, you can use Migration Assistant (in /Applications/Utilities) to transfer files from your PC. Make sure you have installed Windows Migration Assistant on the PC > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4796?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US


There are other ways to transfer files from the PC to the Mac, like using an external drive. I recommend you to do this if you have to transfer a big amount of files. Remember that Migration Assistant will create a new user account with the transferred files

Hi, I am running migrate assistant, i have disabled all virus and firewall on the PC, they are both on the same wireless network but still the mac cannot find the PC, they are next to each other on a table and the wifi router is about 4 feet away, all are on and connected.

Please can some one help (thanks Bob, i looked into all your sugestions but still no joy..)
