After I type the product code in it takes me to this screen that says "Select Operating System" it then shows that "There are no images available" although the windows 8 disk is already inserted? Whats wrong?

Are you using an original Windows 8 DVD? If so, it's damaged. If you downloaded Windows 8 from the Internet, the image you downloaded is damaged, so redownload it. Make sure you download it from Microsoft
Its still a new original disk, could the problem lie in the bootcamp application? I put all the bootcamp 5 drivers in the root of the flash drive and left the flash drive inserted then I selected "start installation" is there something Im doing wrong?
That problem has nothing to do with Boot Camp, because that message means that there's no Windows version in that DVD to be installed. If I were you, I would return the Windows 8 copy you purchased
Wait a moment. Are you installing Windows on Boot Camp or a virtual machine? From what you said on your post, it remembers me to the setting up window of VMware Fusion and Parallels
