Q: icloud and text

My husband and I share iTunes and an iCloud acct, since getting my new iphone 5C, we are having problems with incoming and outgoing texts between him and I, and a few select other people whose messages come in color coded blue... Help!

iPhone 5c, iOS 7.0.4

    color coded blue messages meaning that this messages were sent as iMessage and not as a SMS. It would make sense to use at least two separated iCloud accounts for you and your husband so that eveyone has an iCloud account for Mail, Calendar, Contacts etc. (Settings > iCloud) and also for iMessage (Settings > Messages > Send & Receive) and FaceTime (Settings > FaceTime). Of course you still use the same Apple ID for iTunes media and app purchases (Settings > iTunes & App Stores).
