Ipad Mini Retina - Yellow Screen
I bought an Ipad Mini Retina last night. I have noticed the bottom 1/3 of the screen has a yellowish tint, especially when the background page is white. Is this normal?
iPad, iOS 7.0.4

It's not normal have it replaced the sooner the better. Don't settle for less then the very best.
Same issue.
Top half of screen crisp white, bottom half urine yellow.
Had numerous iMacs with same issues few years back. Ended up with a refund.
It's not good enough for £400 (32GB)
Mine has it to, seems like many dont, so return it. I am. The colour I can live with, the yello 1/2 of screen I can't
It's normal I changed my ipad mini nearly 9 times now and whatever u do it will have a slight yellow tint at he bottom of the screen and if u do find a magic one with no yellow tint u will be left with a lot of back light and screen bleeding on a dark background at night, looks like apple have a lot to fix for the new mini retina
Getting a refund.
Really poor quality for a premium priced device.
Why not ask for a replacement? Not all have this problem. Mine is fine.

I changed it nearly 9 times I lost count, but If u don't have a yellow tint I'm sure u have screen bleeding, open a black wallpaper on full screen with 100% brightness and go in a dark room and u will see what I mean.
I have used lots of apps, photos, streamed TV, etc. and have not noticed anything. If it only shows up on "a black wallpaper on full screen with 100% brightness ... in a dark room," I can live with the defect.
I am curious, what did Apple say when you exchanged yours 9 times?
George
All apple could say is we are sorry.. On the 5th time they told me they can't change it again so I got my money back and a week later I went to get another one hoping the problem went away... However it did not I am happy with the one I have no there is no back screen bleed how ever there is still a slight yellow tint on one side which is annoying. U can see it most when u type on landscape u will see on the keyboard one side is more blue and the other is more warm yellow. It's a shame because it's a perfect size device. But after changing it 9 times I can't imagine how some people can say its perfect maybe they just can't tell. The first one was terrible but all 9 and I'm sure even urs has a slight yellow tint try the keyboard on landscape and let me know
Did this with keyboard in landscape - no yellow tint even with magnifying glass.
George
well if both sides are the same and no tint at all u are very lucky! maybe its just with the wifi 32 gb ? i dont know but i have had no luck. some people say to leave screen on full brightness and it goes away so ill try a few things. but im sure it wont fix it, the anoying thing is i got 1 ipad air and it was perfect
is there away u can take a picture of ur mini on keyboard (landscape)? from a phone or something? i phoned apple and they admitted to this fault, an there are so many people complaning about it on the net. and i have not seen one good one with no yellow tint so i just want to compare it to ur one to see if there is a "perfect" screen so i can return it for the 10th time.
got second one few days ago, same prob, 64 gig wifi only !! now going for 3rd!!
I also had this problem, then replaced with a new one. No problems anymore 🙂
I think it does to some. Mine not.
