Reboot to the Recovery Partition (hold cmd-R) and reinstall OSX, I hope you have a current backup available as it may be needed.

Hold down the Alt/Option key at Startup.

In slow motion, over the next few minutes, it should draw a blank screen then add an icon for each potentially-bootable Volume.

If Recovery_HD is one of them, choose that.

You can try to select your Boot Volume and (Repair Disk)...

... but you will likely need to re-Install Mac OS X. You need an active Internet connection to proceed from there.

There is no way to circumvent a firmware password, other than a trip to the Apple Store:

Only Apple retail stores or Apple Authorized Service Providers can unlock these computers protected by a firmware password.

Turn your Mac off. Turn your Mac on and (as soon as you hear the startup chime) hold down the command and R keys simultaneously. Hold down until you see the progress bar. Your Mac will boot into the recovery partition.
