"You must restart your computer" message - panic log

For some reason, I'm getting the infamous "You must restart your computer" message. It has the symbol of the power button in the background.

I just bought a new SSD hard drive, so I don't think it's that.

Here is the panic log.

What do you think is the issue?

TIA

Yes, it was, and it was on account of my hard drive failing. I was able to retrieve 95% of my data, which I was very happy about. That's why I bought an SSD.

I've had my Macbook hooked up to a 24" Samsung LCD monitor for over a year without issues. But even after I installed the SSD, it kept giving me that "you must restart your computer" error.

I thought maybe my Macbook could no longer handle the external monitor since it is getting on in years (Black Macbook, 2006, model 2,1).

So I unhooked the monitor and it stopped giving that error for a while, until today. Btw, the error came up soon after I started the computer and before I logged in. It was on the login screen for 5 to 10 min before that error came up. It came up on the login screen.

Also, I did try opening the computer to put more thermal compound on the CPU, as I thought that might help since it seemed to be overheating. But I could not unscrew the last screw to take off the outer housing/keyboard. So I wasn't able to do that.

I just put it back together after that and did not hook up the 24" monitor, and it's been working fine until today. And that was about a month ago when I tried doing that.

Also, I just noticed that my CD drive is no longer working. I'm not sure when it stopped working, but the last time I used it a couple of months ago, it worked fine. When I hold down the eject button, the eject icon no longer comes up on the screen.

Hope that info helps.

OK. Is that going to remove my soundflower? I need that for recording system audio.

And the techsmith has to do with Camtasia, which I also need. Will uninstalling that affect the program at all?

How do you find and uninstall them? Do I just delete them once I find them? I searched via spotlight, but I could not find them.

I assume there are in some Library or Application Support folder?
