Software update

Hi I have a mid-2007 macbook serial number W8*****Z5V and I'm running software version Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I'm wondering if there is anyway I can update the software. I've tried a few times but I could not get it to work. I think it's because it's to old.

Also make sure you have run this update, as it needed to do further updates.

Here are the system requirements:


You can go to the Apple logo in the menu bar and click about this Mac, more info and in the page the opens the second line down will have the model Identifier

Post that back and I can check for sure what your max OSX would be, this year is when some can tun up to certain vrsions.
