I was wondering how i can get my delete key on my macbook to erase with a single press instead of pushing it down everytime i get a letter deleted. Like on the windows laptops.

Try holding it down and it will continue deleting until you release it.

That is what i'm trying to solve, i want it to delete with holding the delete key down but it doesnt instead it deletes one letter at a time and is so slow.

If you haven't figured it out yet I just had this problem. Under keyboard preferences if you adjust the speeds of "Key Repeat' and/or "Delay Until Repeat," holding down the delete key will work.
