Try going to utilities/Keychain Access, unlock the padlock upper left corner (click to unlock system keychain) This should be your admin login password.

You can then try in Keychain Access in the menu bar, keychain first aid

DO A BACKUP FIRST

Use your recovery partition so you can reset everything.(power up up holding the COMMAND R keys and restore OS X You can do a restoration and start from square one.

Your profile does not disclose the version of OSX but from the forum you posted in I assume your are running 10.7 Lion, which is wnat a Mac uses. You have listed in your profile iOS and a iPhone, iOS is used for iPhones, iPads, iPods...mobile devices, and is quite different from OSX which is used by Mac computers.

As well as the year and model ID of your mac. (You can find this info by clicking on the Apple logo in the menu bar>About this Mac>more info/system profile (depending on which OSX you are using) then posting it, so that we can eliminate the "guessing" of of how to possibly provide help/advice/suggestions to you

Without this info it is difficult to help someone reading this post to offer advice/suggestions.

Try repairing your keychain. It typically asks for the original keychain password but it should, typically, be your login password. To repair your keychain follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Keychain Access in the upper-left
  2. Select "Keychain First Aid"
  3. Enter your username and password and select "Repair" then click "Start"
  4. After your keychain as been repaired, go to "Preferences"
  5. Select "Reset my Default Keychian"
  6. Enter whatever you want the new password to be and you should be good to go.

Good luck!

Chris

Hey guys, so I am by no means an expert on any of this stuff, but I was having the same issue, all of a sudden windows started popping up saying "Keychain Not Found" when I went into Keychain Access my login keychain was an empty square (no lock icon) and when it was selected it said it was "read only" I had no luck with the keychain repair. The most annoying part is my iCloud login would pop up constantly, and when I attempted to sign in it would create a cascade of "Keychain Not Found" errors. When I went into Keychain preferences and attempted to reset my default keychain it gave me the "[UNIX]Invalid Argument" window. So... Here's how I fixed it.

FYI I think my fix will dump all of your saved passwords and what not, so try some of these other fixes first, but ultimately I was so frustrated I could care less about losing some passwords.

1) Go to Keychain Access

2) Select login keychain in the upper left corner

3) Select file > delete Keychain "login"

4) When the window pops up asking if you want to "Delete References & File" or just "Delete References" select "Delete References & File"

5) Restart your computer

6) Open Keychain Access, during the restart your mac should have created a new "login" keychain.

I tried most of these other fixes, and a bunch off of other websites but nothing worked, so last ditch effort, worked like champ, no more messages. Good luck!
