My DNS setting won't change

Just bought a new iPad Air, connected to home network, and went to update my DNS settings (I use Unblock Us), but everytime I change the DNS number in Settings, then go to Safari, cycle the settings page, restart the device, or whatever, it always just reverts the DNS back to the original. Doesn't matter what DNS address I try, it always just snaps back.

I've been through the process on other devices with no problems. Not sure if this is a software bug, or something I'm doing wrong?

iPad, iOS 7.0.4

I called support yesterday about this. I was told "you can't do that" with 7.0.4.

If I had known that they were taking this feature away with the software update I never would have done it. And I don't remember this being mentioned as a feature of the new update.
