In our house, we all use the iPad. I don't want to know what my kids were using the iPad for. It's a privacy thing. I want to disable the "recently used apps" feature.
You can't. Don't look at it if you don't want to know.
Just ask your kids to clear apps from the Recently Used Apps list when they've finished using it by swiping upwards on the app screenshot in the Recently Used Apps list.
If they don't bother to do this, then obviously they don't have a problem with you seeing what's there and you can just forget anything you see if you want.

Of course "don't look at it if you don't want to know" isn't a good answer. You know that.
Obviously this simple function is missing. I'm sure they'll add it next time.
No need to go all "user-shaming" on me. LOL.
Anyway, it's useful to know there's nothing I can do about it for now.
