Mail Attributes Flag Missing

Just noticed that emails (with attachments) that I've imported (via mbox), are not showing the "paper clip" attachment flag next to the Sender in the column that allows messages to be sorted any number of ways. The View>Message Attributes has a greyed-out "Attachments" checked.

Interestingly, in what I'll call the email preview window to the right of the sorting column, the attachment "flag" is visible next to the sender's name (as it should be).

I've rebuilt the mailboxes with this issue, with no change to the attachment flag behavior.

I've switched the view to "classic", and deleted and added the "attachment" column, to no avail (the attachment flag is not visible in the classic mode either).

The attachment flag shows up on newly received emails, but seems to show up on a "hit or miss" manner on recently sent emails in my "sent" mailbox...

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Bob

(Additionally, the identical mail boxes on a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9 and the same version of Mail, are showing the attachments properly)

JLM54...

What I've discovered about the greyed-out view menu items is this:

If you want to change any of the view Menu items, go to Mail Preferences>Viewing, and check "Classic Layout". You will see some columns along the top of the messages box. Control Click on any of the columns, and you will get a menu item allowing you to add or subtract various other column types.

When you are happy with the column types you want, go back to Preferences>Viewing and uncheck "Classic Layout".

Doesn't solve the paperclip icon, but it's something...

Note: In the classic view, I just selected the paper clip attachment as a column... Went back to the "normal" view in preferences, and now it seems I've got more attachment icons showing up... interesting, since this didn't seem to work as of my last posting... In fact, doing a check of old emails, it now appears that the paper clip/attachment icon is showing properly on all emails...

I just edited my previous message... On my system, with the classic view column "attachments" added, I now seem to have all my appropriated messages with the attachment icon showing...

(I've no idea what changed between now and my first posting, though..)

Edit: Looks like my Sent mailbox still isn't showing all the flags properly...
