i am trying to get tv show but it never comes up? how do you get them?

I have an ipod video, the latest itunes.. and i searched the help and it says click tv shows ,but there is nothing there to click ..it says pocasts...audiobooks ... music videos but no tv shows why?
i dont have a video but maybe the tv shows are i the movies section or maybe you just need to get some tv shows before you get the tv shows option.
PLEASE HELP ME~!!
