I need some help with my Macbook pro

Hello,


My Mac latley keeps crashing. The screen starts to blink like thunders but it keeps working. If i`m seeing a movie i keep listening the sound but the screen freezes and blinks and gets no response.

It sounds like you have the NVIDIA issue: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377


Note that this free repair program was discontinued Dec 7, 2012, but I would still bring your MBP in to an Apple Store, have it tested for the issue, and if that's what it is, politely talk to a manager until you can convince him/her to repair it under the program. Good luck!

Since you have the 15" Early 2008 model, your problem isn't the same as those mid-2010 models with the faulty NVIDIA chip.


That said, it does seem as if you've a GPU problem. If I were you, I would take your machine into your local Apple Store/AASP and have them run diagnostics on the unit. If it does turn out to be a faulty GPU, then a logic board replacement would be needed. However, you could always ask about Apple's flat rate repair policy - it seems as if your MBP could benefit from that policy.

DONT PAY FOR A REPAIR! its not worth it anymore, as most companies dont replace the gpu because the part isnt made any more. They don't repair it and it isnt permanent, but your still paying!! its crazy! fortunately there is a way to do the exact thing that they do without dissassembling your computer! just follow these steps:

1. Plug in your macbook pro (make sure that its off)

2. Turn on the computer, and hwen it chimes, close the lid and turn it updside down.

3. Wrap the macbook in a heavy quilt.

4. Let the computer sit for about an hour.

5. Take it out of the quilt, unplug it and let it cool for 20 minutes.

6. Turn on the computer.

I can say that this works as I had the same problem, and after this method, the computer is up and running, I'm typing this on it now! It was even tested and confirmed for this issue!!! WOW! IT WORKS!
