Safari is slow on 10.7.5 on imac
Seriuos slowdown of imac by safari.
How to run safari without this maddening slowness?

No answers here, just some things to check and things to consider...
Are all network activities and all web browsers slow, or just Safari?
If you have any Safari extensions enabled, try shutting those off, and see if performance improves.
If there are any add-on system performance-enhancement tools or optimizers or anti-virus or anti-malware tools, try disabling those for testing.
Try using the Reset Safari... item in the menus to clear the caches, history and most of the rest.
When you're using Safari, launch Console.app from Applications > Utilities and see if there's anything that appears related to Safari being logged; something that might provide some background on some system or network problems.
