Just loaded ios7.4

Just loaded ios7.4 on my iPhone 5s and it's completely locked up - tried holding both switches, waited 2 days for battery to go flat and still locked up - just shows picture of charger cable to iTunes symbol - won't unlock connected to laptop or re charging - am really really mad! 🙂
